Porcelain Veneers
A porcelain veneer is a wafer-thin piece of ceramic material. Simply by attaching a veneer to the front of your tooth, you can hide any number of severe stains, visible chips, and even small gaps and certain alignment issues. Because they can make all of these corrections at once, we’ll often recommend porcelain veneers to patients who are looking to make dramatic improvements to their smiles. As a bonus, veneers don’t stain very easily, so you can enjoy the brighter appearance of your teeth for many years to come!

Metal-Free Dental Restorations
If a tooth has been badly decayed or broken, you simply can’t go without a crown or filling to protect it and prevent further damage. Of course, the idea of having highly visible pieces of metal in your mouth probably isn’t a very exciting one if you’re worried about how your smile is going to look from now on. Modern restorations can be made out of natural-looking tooth-colored materials such as composite resin and porcelain, which can be shaded to blend right in with the rest of your teeth.

Dental Bonding
Getting a porcelain veneer takes at least two appointments separated by a matter of weeks, but for smaller cosmetic concerns direct bonding is often the quicker solution. This simple process involves applying composite resin to the surface of the teeth, molding and shading it to match the surrounding enamel, and hardening it in place with a special light. This can be done in less than an hour, and it can be used for a wide variety of corrections.

Teeth Whitening
Everyone would love to have a beautiful, bright white smile, but unfortunately, the whitening products you can buy over the counter don’t always deliver what they promise. Professional teeth whitening is much more reliable; our dental office uses the KoR Whitening System, which works by improving the tooth’s ability to absorb oxygen so that it can remove stain molecules. We offer an in-office procedure as well as customized take-home kits depending on how soon you want to see results.

Gum Recontouring/ Crown Lengthening
Are your teeth looking a bit too short? You might not think there’s anything you can do about that, but in truth the problem might not even be with their actual length; rather, it might be due to an excessive amount of gum tissue covering the enamel. The gum recontouring process reshapes the gum line so that more of the natural tooth is exposed, and balance to the smile is restored. Crown lengthening is a similar procedure used to make room for a new restoration.

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs
Have you never completed cosmetic dentistry before? If not, we understand that the number of available treatments can be a bit overwhelming at first. Don’t worry, it’s not our goal to give you choice paralysis. Rather, we only want to make sure that you are getting exactly what you need to achieve your dream smile. Below, you’ll find our most commonly asked questions revolving around cosmetic dentistry for your convenience. If yours is not listed, don’t be afraid to let us know!
Porcelain veneers do require removing a small amount of tooth enamel before they can be placed. This is done to ensure that the veneers sit flush against teeth and do not appear oversized in your mouth. Because of the alteration of enamel that occurs, this treatment is considered permanent. If a veneer falls off or breaks, it needs to be replaced promptly. If you are not prepared for this sort of commitment, you may want to consider another cosmetic treatment.
Despite not using any silver amalgam, metal-free restorations are designed to last as long as those using metal materials. This means that you can chew your favorite foods, practice oral care, and speak with confidence. On top of that, they are very effective at protecting teeth. That means even if your teeth are cracked or otherwise exposed in a significant way, you can still expect your porcelain and composite resin restorations to last for many years.
Dental bonding makes use of composite resin, the same material that’s used to restore teeth damaged by cavities. This material, despite not using any metal whatsoever, is capable of lasting as long as 10 years in most cases. This is largely due to the fact that it bonds more effectively to enamel once cured compared to silver amalgam. However, you should still make sure your fillings are cleaned thoroughly every day as failing to do so will cause them to deteriorate more quickly.
It is! This is because we use the same professional-grade bleaching ingredients in our take-home whitening kits. With that said, they will take longer to provide the same results. For example, you should expect to wear the whitening kits for about two weeks at a time. Generally, you shouldn’t have to wear the trays for more than 20 to 30 minutes a day to make your smile several shades brighter.
In order to adjust your gum tissue while still maintaining as much of your healthy gum tissue as possible, we make use of a dental laser. This device is far more precise compared to using a traditional dental instrument. Additionally, laser dentistry makes the process more comfortable overall and even reduces the amount of time needed to allow the gums to heal.
